Inline embed

A campaign placed inside the article rather than over it. No overlay, no trigger, nothing to dismiss — it simply sits in the flow of the page.

What to watch for. Read down this column. The block below is not page content — it is a campaign, rendered in place by a shortcode, and it is the same kind of object as the modal and the bar on the other demos.

The same campaign, somewhere else

Everything else on this site appears over the page: a modal in the middle, a bar at the top, a panel in the corner. An inline embed is the same campaign machinery pointed at a different place — a spot you choose, in the middle of your own content.

That makes it the gentlest format by a wide margin. There is nothing to close, nothing covering the text, and nobody has to deal with it before carrying on. It converts less than a mat and annoys people far less, which for most sites is the better end of that trade.

This block is a campaign, not page content. It sits in the article, always visible, with no overlay and no trigger — the same campaign you would show as a modal somewhere else.

Why place it by hand

A popup decides when to appear. An inline block decides where. Dropping it after the second heading of a tutorial puts the offer at the point where someone has committed to reading, without waiting for a scroll threshold to guess at the same thing.

It goes wherever a shortcode goes: in the block editor, in a page builder, in a template, in a widget area. The one above is a shortcode in this page’s content, between two paragraphs, exactly where you would expect to be able to put it.

It is still a campaign

Targeting, scheduling, analytics and lead storage all work the way they do everywhere else. You can schedule an inline block to appear only in December, restrict it to logged-out visitors, and read its conversion rate next to your modals — because as far as the plugin is concerned it is simply another campaign that happens to render in the document flow.

The only thing it does not have is a trigger, for the obvious reason that it is already visible. There is nothing to wait for.
